So my junior year of college is rounding into its second semester. I am in awe at how fast everything has passed by. Before we know it it will be the end of another school year and graduation will be upon us. I have a ton of friends who are graduating this year and i'm going to miss them a ton when they leave.. that's why it's important to make this semester count as far as hanging out with them goes *nudges certian people... they should know who they are* Time seems to fly by pretty fast. It seems like just yesterday I was a freshmen looking to find my place in the college world. Now I found my niche. I have kept in groove with what i love to do (theatre and poetry) while at the same time being willing to open my world to new and exciting things (such as playing volleyball)
It is quite daunting to me that I will be a senior next year. It's daunting because I honestly have no idea what I intend to do with my major after I graduate. I mean I love to write poetry but I don't think I can really make much of a living off of that. I have found that I really enjoy writing for the school newspaper. I write articles about the theatre shows and next semester I am going to be theatre editor. I am very excited about that. Over the summer I had an internship with the Milford Cabinet and I really had a lot of fun doing that as well. I found it very interesting to see what goes on behind the scences of an actual newspaper and going on assignment with the various reporters was fun. For this summer I am planning on applying for an internship @ WMUR. I think it would be neat to see what goes on behind the scenes of a tv news room. I also really like theatre stuff so I could see myself doing public relations stuff for a local theatre company somewhere down the the line. There are so many options. It's mindboggling really.
Once I graduate I definitley plan on moving out of Amherst. New York seems like too big of a place. I'd like to maybe live in Concord, Boston or Manchester. Amherst is boring and there is nothing to do when you think of the job market.. except maybe work at Souhegan as a journalism teacher. We'll have to see where my path away from NEC leads me once I graduate next year.
This blog is for general ranting and stuff that goes on my every day life in work and relationships. Stuff that is incredibly personal will not be posted on this blog. For all theatre related commentary please go to my Theatre is My Life blog.

Finals Stress Fall Semester 06
Finals are going to kill me if they haven't started to already. Let's recap all the work i have to do in the next couple weeks:
Interpersonal Communications: 7-10 final paper on Family Interaction Patterns (bascially expanding on thoughts from my chapter 10 reaction which I got a 75 on.. best grade i've gotten on any of the reaction papers... including the extra credit assignment for research night )
Creative Writing: Portfolio of all the stories I wrote this semester
NewEnglander: Portfolio of all the articles I wrote this semester and a final article which will go into the first issue for next semester... which naturally previews what shows are going to be put on next semester.
Symbolic Logic: Test!! The only test i have and it's gonna fuckin kill me
Dramatic Theory: Research paper and final paper on my own theroy of comedy and tradegy. That will need a lot of expanding.... even though i haven't even started to write it yet. I can already tell it will need a lot of expanding though...
I am not sure how many sources we need for the dramatic theory research paper. So far I have got four including the textbook but i am not sure if we need more than that. I don' t want to end up having too much information... but then again i do need something to work with and I think I should have enough.
