Vacation

Spring break is here. My schedule had to change because Matt had to work Monday and Turesday. We are going on the day trips Wednesday-Sat.
Our schedule is as follows:
Wedneesday- Go to the Souhegan Softball game in Weare. Hopefully they beat John Stark.
Thursday- Hike/Picnic in Mine Falls. Hopefully it doesn't rainFriday- Meredith Still waiting to hear back from Nancy Barry to see if she can meet us for lunch. We are going hiking at a loon reserve in Moltonborough.
Saturday- Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee. We are hiking Mt Kearsarge and hopefully going to the Indain Musuem.I will be sure to take lots of pictures. They will be up on Facebook on Sunday afternoon at some point.
Today I am not doing anything much. Going to the gym in a bit to burn off the remainder of my Music Man cast party calories then working on my Milford Cabinet artice about Les Mis. I may be seeing Water for Elephants with Leslie Peterson and Heather Crocker tonight but I'm still waiting to firm up those plans.Still going through minor Music Man withdrawls.. they're not so bad though In fact they should be gone by the end of this week. Still keeping rehearsescore on my computer though. Keeping up with the dances will add something new to my workout plus it will benefit me in the long run . Who knows? We may be asked to perform Marian The Libarian at the theatre awards in February. That's what I am hoping for. I wouldn't be all that suprised if our show gets nominated for a few awards.. it was pretty amazing. hhThis weekend was fun. Friday I went out with Sonya and Julie for dinner at San Fransisco Kitchen which is in downtown Nashua. I don't particulary like Chinese food but I found this food t o be really good. We went to the Nashua Library to see King's Speech and then to Margarita's for dessert. Satruday morning I did some chores and workerd a little on my Miflord Cabinet articles. Matt and I then went to see Hop which I thought was a cute movie. We then headed up to Maine where I spent the night and spent Easter with Matt and his parents. Yesterday morning we went to church at 8:30 and then had breakfast, Matt and I took a walk on the beach and then we had a nice ham dinner at 3:00. April Gym Mileage

The first couple weeks of April were mostly consumed with Music Man Rehearsals and performances. My regular gym schedule will be resuming this week in addition to a few hikes I will be going on Thursday Friday and Saturday. I also am debating keeping rehearse score in my computer a little bit longer then I need too. Practicing the steps could come in handy even through the show is over. Who knows if we'll get the opportunity to peform one of the dances at the theatre awards. It wouldn't in the least bit surprising if we get asked to perform. Retaining normalcy

Another tech week has come and gone... aside from my aforementioned schedule slip up last Sunday it went pretty well. I am very exhausted.. it's been a very long week. (This was cut and pasted from my lj so let me explain the schedule slip up. Basically I misread my rehearsal website and thought my rehearsal was at 6 when it was really in the afternoon. I was actually really mad at myself because I am usually good at being on time for things) The best thing about the PTA Plays is that it's a community play so a lot of families are in it, It was amazing to get work with people I've seen in the plays over the years. It was also amazing to work with fellow SHS Thespian Ashley Hughes. We did theatre in high school together but never did any shows together up to this point. This show has definitley helped to grow as performer and I can't wait for 8 more months to pass by when Oaklahoma auditions come around next January. I have never had so much fun working on a show as I did with working on Music Man and Oklahoma will be just as great. Friday and Saturday night I went to cast parties after the show at Roger Hurd's house and the Abis's house. Tres fun. I definitley over indulged food wise and will have a lot of calroies to burn off at the gym in the next couple week and when you add all the calories I will gain from Easter then that's even more calroies to burn. :./ Pictures from the play will be posted on facebook soon.Aside from the play what else has gone on... been busy with stuff at Project Search mostly. My internship at the Front Desk is going well so far. Loving it. We have a reverse job fair coming up on May 23rd which have spent our class time preparing for it. What this entails is putting together a binder with letters of reccomondatiion from our intenship sites and our resumes and putting together a display that describes us as a worker and talks a bit about what we do in our spare time.. pictures from the play will be included. People from St Joe's and other medical centers will be coming around and asking us questions. I'm hoping this results in a position. I also applied for a job at the Roger Dionne Senior Center as a clerical assistant. Hopefully I hear back from them about an interview soon. Outside of work and the play here's what's been up:
4/1- I went out with Women's group for Penny's birthday. We went to karaoke at Grand Buffett. It was the first time I had gone there since before the Christmas Holidays so it was good to finally get back there. I sang Crocodile Rock by Elton John and Baby Girl by Sugarland. Totally rocked both.
4/2- Matt Sonya and I went up to Henniker to go see Hotel La Putts. Before the show we went to The Country Sprit for a retirement dinner for my theatre professor Wally. It was quite a good time. It was great to see all my NEC theatre friends I had not seen in awhile. The play was hillarious for the most part though it did have its serious moments. Very good time.
4/8 Went to the movies with Women's Group to have a belated birthday celebration for Caroline (whose birthday was 3/16... we were supposed to get together 3/30 but ther were too many schedule conflicts) and saw Arthur Hilliarious and highly reccomendable movie.. I also recently read Stones To Schools by Greg Mortensen.. the sequel to Three Cups of Tea. Very eye opening book to what life is like in Afghanstan and Pakistan.

High School Spring sports begin next week

Thought for the day= On religion

Friday on 20/20 there was a story on Independant Baptist Churches and how a parioshner dealt with being raped. I had never heard of this religion before seeing this story on the news and found it to be interesting but the overall story was sad and I feel really bad for the victims of rape and what they had to go through. The whole religion seems kind of strange to me actually. Maybe I just don't know enough about it. I may need to do more research about it. Just for my own reference. In a more general sense I have been considering my own religion for a very long time. I was born and raised Catholic and proud of the religous upbringing that I have and what I have gained from it. I have been seeing the commericals for the Catholics Come Home campaign on tv a lot recently which baiscially encourages Catholics who have been away from church for awhile to start going to church again I don't go to church as often as I used to and feel I should go more often then I do. Prayer has certainly gotten me through a lot of tough times I have had over the past couple years especialy with the way the economy and job searching has been so difficult to deal with. I have mostly been away from the Catholic church for this long a time because of my disgust with the sex abuse scandel and how it was handled. I know I still believe in god for sure but the thing I am confused about is weather or not I want to change religons or still remain Catholic. My goal is figure that out with in the next couple months and then decide where I want to go from there.

Another Unrelated PS Announcemnt

Another unrelated Project Search Annoucment Got a notification from Indded last weekend that the hospital is looking for a clerical assitant in the Roger Dionne Senior Ctr. Submitting my application on Monday or Tuesday. We'll see how things go, Additionally I am looking forward to the revese job fair on May 23rd. I am hoping something good comes out of that job fair if the job at the Senior Center doesn't pan out.

It depends on the movie. I like going to the movies but sometimes I don't mind renting a movie especially if I missed seeing it in the theatre. Renting movies is a welcome alternative since movie ticket prices and the price of gas seem to be getting more expensive.

House Passes Budget As Thousands Rally - Politics News Story - WMUR Manchester


Yesterday there was a huge rally in Concord about the budget cuts. I really wish I had gone but unfourtunately I had to work and even if I was able to get the day off I would have not been able to get a ride. Obviously even though the protests were loud and clear the voices were not heard. The bill was passed and I am sure I am not the only person who is infuriated by this. This budget cut will have a huge affect on people in New Hampshire who have diabilities and need in home care. This will affect me and the amount of money I will get from my budget that I'm provided through Gateways starting July 1st.


So pissed about this. Shame on the New Hampshire Government! They can do a lot better than this. Governer Lynch even said on the news yesterday that these budget cuts went too deep. If the governor opposes the budget cuts isnt' that a strong enough voice to be heard.
