Reports: Francona Out As Red Sox Manager - Sports News Story - WMUR New Hampshire

Reports: Francona Out As Red Sox Manager - Sports News Story - WMUR New Hampshire

This is a huge mistake on behalf of the Red Sox Management. Sure they had a rough stretch at the end of this sason but that doesn't mean they can't improve next year. The news that Big Papi might become a free agent is depressing too, He has been my favorite player for several years.

Thought For The Day - Soical Networking

Today's Livejouranl Wirter's Block UnPlugged Question is all about Social Networking

I have been all over the social networking spectrum since 2003 when I started my first online diary. With the times I've grown and matured. I've learned what to use a filter of what I say online so I do not hurt people's feelings. Social Networking certainly has its pros and cons. With time and maturity I've outgrown certain sites such as livejournal and myspace. I feel that sometimes people hide behind monikers on social networking sites so they can say mean and hurtful things to people. That is not right and think that is a huge thing that attributes to bullying. At this point in my life I am using social networking sites for professional reasons as I look to expand my freelance writing career. Facebook is becoming less and less user friendly and appealing because all of the recent interface changes and it makes me want to use the website less and less.

:/

At this point it is best to let the whole issue with Bobby Matoney emailing me about that video on youtube go. The issue was dealt with and was really out of my control. It really would be nice to know why the question was directed at me in the first place. Too bad I'll never know the answer to that question.

If apathy or resentment exists from anyonre in my intern company regarding how I reacted to stuff about the Barn I suppose I will have to deal with that too.. and move on.

If is the operative word here. I haven't really kept in good contact with everyone from my intern company so I really don't know if there is any resentment or apathy and if so how much there is. And if apathy in fact does exist I wonder if it can be put aside to start over with people fresh or have bridges been burned already?

Thought For The Day- If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It

Facebook is at it again. Once again their layout has changed. I wonder why the developers think thay are making it more userfriendly. In my honset opinion they current changed kind of make facebook creepy... and it wasn't really creepy before. I think the more they continue to make changes to it it will just continue to lose users.

Facebook is honestly coming really close to losing my usage at this point. At this stage in the game I would rather perfer to use regular email and instant messanger to keep in contact with people. Additionally I feel linked in is a more professional site for me to be using so I may stick with using that from now on.

Thought For The Day- Setting The Bar Too High

Sonya and I were both considering auditioning for Interlakes Summer Theatre for the summer 2012 Season. I didn't think at the time we were talking about it how unrealistic I was being. Obviosuly since I ingiworked at the Barn Playhouse four years ago I wanted to get back into Summer Stock. Once I reconsidered that I realized that most summer stock theatres IST included look for professional actors with extensive resumes. Is my resume extensive? Not at all. The amount of backstage work and publicity work I've done in the past four years has grown but not so much the acting end of the resume. There's a part of my high school mission statement which states to not be afraid to push your comfortable limits. I was trying to follow that standard but in trying to follow that standard I was not realizing that there are certain boundaries I can't push. I have been insecure about my singing voice ever since high school and honestly that insecurity hasn't really left me. The talent among the people who have worked for Nancy in the past four years has been impressive. This includes my friends from NLBP who have worked for her. Also because of my disabillities I am not exactly the best dancer so that would be one thing that needs to be improved over time.

Summer Stock theatre may not be an option for me at this point but auditioning for a summer stock theatre may be something I can eventually work toward. I just need more stage credits first. That's where auditioning for shows around this area comes in. Building up my resume is key!

Thoight for The Day- On Passages of Time

This is the second entry titled passages of time. That entry was short and reflected on the Souhegan Graduation that was upcoming and how my 10 year reunion willl be coming up n three years

This passages of time reflection is far more deeper than that. It focusses on the drifiting of relationships how people come and go in our life.

Over the course of my life I've met lots of people... I've had a few close friends and a smattering of acquauntances. In some respects transiioning away from certain groups and into others wasn't tthe eaisest thing for me ( ie high school ~< college, falling out with Will Porter) eventually I learned to take things in stride. The falling out with Will Porter took some time to take in stride but I got there eventually. I honestly thing the biggest issue I had in that was accepting the fact that we was moving on with his life after the Barn Playhouse. Looking back on everything related to my isssues with moving on from the Barn I realize that hanging on to the past was the biggest issue. Once I came to terms with that I realized that I just needed to grow up and move on with my life. No one from my intern company hates me and even if they did I should not let it bother me too much. I realized over these past four year that internalizing negative feelings was what the issue really was nd that drove me and others crazy.

In the past year two friendships have drifted apart. Each for their own individual reasons. While I was friends with each of these peoople for a long time I felt it was best to move on. If we shall ever cross paths again I hope things will not be too uncomfortable between us. I don't hold gudges. Details of each situation are to be kept under wraps between myself and the other party.

Time to let go of the past while not forgetting memories and embrace the future and new memories that will be made!

Thought For The Day

Sometimes its better to leave things the way they are if you feel a relationship is not working out. No matter how the other party may feel about the situation. Sometimes you gotta do what's best ffor yourself.

This issue is really not mean to be gone into detail about on blogspot. Just making that point perfectly claear to everyone.

Never Forget

Today is the 10th Anniversary on the teriorist attacks. A day of reflection and rememberance.  Approrriately  the  livejournal writer's block question today asks Where Were You?

I was 16 and a sophomore at Souhegan.    It  was the 10 minute break  between 2nd and 3rd period  I was in the school store line waiting to get a chocolate chip cookie.  An announcemnet came over the loudspeaker from Ted Hall to report to our advisories.    We all gathered in our classrooms and watched the  Twin Towers fall on the TV.  I was in shock.   There was a school wide assembly later that day,  I loved how the whole school came together in a time of crisis.

When  Osama Bin Laden was killed this spring  I couldn't have been more overjoyed that the  families of  9/11 victims  have some sort of closure finally.  They had a special episode of World News Tonight on  earlier about the Memorial that opened near Ground Zero. That will be one of my top sites to visit the next time  I go to the city. :)

The families of all 9/11 victims are in my prayers always! NEVER FORGET!

And a new door opens

Wednesday afternoon I had a job interview at the Nashua Telegraph for a freelance writing job. They didn't have any positions open at this time because of budget cuts but kept the door open for me in case I had any story ideas to submit something too them

Looks like a very pormising opportunity to expand my theatre reviewing skills and since I hope to move to Nashua by sometime next year it is even BETTER!

Thought For The Day What Dreams Are Made OF

Last night I had a dream that I was in a drag version of Cabaret as the Emcee. Adam Lambert and Casey Abrams from American Idol were my ladies in Two Ladies.

I thought it was hysterical... I woke up smiling this morning and laughing to myself.

I am so easily amused. :)

Salute to summer

The unoffical end to summer is this weekend Labor Day. Around this time college kids are headed forth to start their new semesters. I sometimes miss those days but am quite well adjusted to my life outside of the confines of small town Henniker NH.

I have been loving my job at the YMCA uncoditionally. It is so much fun and I have been really learning a lot. I am soley in charge of working on the Volunteer newsletter which excites me to the core. I control the content of the newsleter. I look forward to this challenge. I also work at the front desk, give tours of the facility and do membship paperwork. I am also hoping to helps M out with the after school program as a homework helper but that will depend on if I can get any additonal hours.

Additonally I did freelance work for Nancy Barry at Interlakes Theatre this summer. It was a great experience and I added a lot of new articles to my portfolio for future jobs. To see the reviews please go to my Theatre Is My Life Blog http://theatrereviewer826.blogspot.com

As previously mentioned I went to the American Idol Concert with Julie as a joint celebration for both our 26th birthdays. The celebration continued this weekend. Friday night I had Julie Matt and Sonya over and we ordered pizza, ate cake and playe a rousing round of 89s Scene It. Saturday mid-morning MAtt and I went down to Wellesley and spent the afternoon relaxing and left at around 6 to head to Foxboro to go out to dinner at Davio's an upscale Italian resturant at Patriot Place near Gillette Stadiun, The food was delish! Yesterday we went to Boston and went to the New England Aquarium. I had not been there in about 11 years or so. It was great to go back there. It was an interesting experience. I never learned so much abour Marine life in one sitting. :O) We had dinner at Matt's house and then went out for ice cream afterwards and played another game of Scene It last night!

Here's to year 26.. sure to the best year YET!!

Random Thoughts

WB Unplugged and   the regular LJ Writer's Block had two really good discussion topics in the past couple days.

Topic  #1 : Obama-Will  I vote for him again?
This question has a simple answer.. yes     Despite what other people may believe  I think Obama is  doing  a great job considering the huge mess that  Bush  left him with.  He needs to be given more of a chance to prove what he can do.  The economy  has fluctuated a lot in the past couple years but  I am hoping it will soon stabilize. None of the of  Republicans who are going up against Obama really stand out to me except for  Mitt Romney and John Huntsman. If Sarah Palin runs and wins  I may move to Canada.

Topic #2  Preventing Bullying
This is a personal issue for me  because I was bullied when  I was younger because of  my learning  disabillities.  I think the one main thing that needs to  be taught to people of all ages is tolerances.  If people  were more tolerant of others differences  there would be less room for bullying.

You're my IDOL!

Last night was the most fabulous night of my life. Julie and I went to the American Idol concet as a join celebration for both our birthdays (her''s was August 20th mine was last Friday) I went to the American Idol concert 6 years ago when Carrie Underwood won but this concert was 20 times better. Maybe it's because I had a lot more favorites this year then the year Carrie Underwood won. We had pretty decent seats and I took lots of good pics. They will be up on facebook with in the next couple days.

What a great way to kick of the one week post-celebration of my 26th birthday. I've got a feeling 26 is going to be the best year yet!

Casey Abrams is quite sexy ;)
