Countdowns
11 days til Music Man Opening Night
1 month I delete Livejournal FOR GOOD!!! After this date (May 31st) Please direct all your following and comments to my blog spot blog. I am warning people ahead of time to not be ultimately surprised if Livejournal is deleted before this time. I do not see much purpose in updating it anymore to be sincerly honest. Foe the record I just trasported all my old enties from my lj from 2005- May 2007 to this blog so everything is in the right order. This saves me from having the back up my livejournal to my computer once I deleted. If any NEC friends feel incredibly nostalgic feel free to page back in entries.
As far as opening night for Music Man goes I have mixed feelings 75% excited and 25% nervous. I am nervous because I have not been in a show since Annie Get Your Gun at NLBP. The days months and years have blended together quite nicely so I have lost track of the exact amount of time it's been since July 3rd 2007. The show has been coming along quite nicely and I am so excited to perform it. :)
and also American Idol has been quite amazing this season. I am rooting for Scotty or Pia to go all the way. For full recaps on performance shows please go to my theatre is my life blog.
Full update will be on April 17th or 18th. Full recap of the play and everything in betweeen!

Take me anywhere
The question is if I won a trip ANYWHERE where would I go? Well,, options and possibilities are endless
USA
1. Las Vegas= Not for the casinos more so to see a show at Cesars Palace
2. Florida- Disney World and Harry Potter Theme Park at Universal Studios
3. New Orleans...especially during Mardi Gras that would be epically fun
4. California- So I could see the studios where all my favorite movies are made... go to Disney Land and maybe get tickets to be in the audicence of Wheel Of Forturne or Jeopardy.
5. Chicago- My parents when there when my sister did her summer program at Northwestern.. I couldn't go because I was working. They said they had a good time.
6- Atlantic City- Again not for the gambling most likely just because I've never been if I ever get the chance to visit Rae in NJ I hope to go there
I also like to go on a cruise on the Disney Cruise Line or Oasis of The Seas. I also want to eventually go to Canada because I have never been there. Specifically Montreal or Quebec. I'm actually suprised I haven't been to Canada yet. It's the only foriegn country that's somewhat close to the USA
WORLD
1 I really want to go back to Itay to learn more about my roots
2. I want to go to Paris... I've always found it to be enchanting
3. I want to to go England. Mostly to go see a show on the West End and compare it to seeing a Broadway Show.
Mini Musings
Date Feb 8th: Question What would you purchase with your winnings if you won the lottery?
I wouldn't purchase anything. Instead I would use a majority of my winnings to pay back my loans from NEC then use the rest of it to either go on vacation somewhere or give it to charity.
Date Feb 11th Question Who Is the most overated musician and why?
Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. They are overrated because they can't sing and are made out to seem like they are really good singers. I admit to liking a few of Miley's songs but other than that she is annoying as all hell and Justin Bieber is horrilble. I groan at the fact that there is now a movie out that is a biopic about him. The line at the movies was practically out the door for that movie tonight and I was rolling my eyes at the thought of it. Lady Gaga is also overrated. Her music just isn't too appealing to me except for Bad Romance.
Date Feb 13th Question: What are your best and worst personalitly traits? Do you think your friends would agree?
I don't have many bad personality traits. I think my strongest personality traits are probably my sense of humor, being considerate and being caring. If I could come up with one negative personality trait it would be that I tend get overanxious about things that aren't really that big of a deal.My friends would be able to agree with this.
Date Feb 15th Question When You're Feeling Down What Comfort Foods Do You Enjoy?
1. Anything chocolate
2. Cheez its
3. Carrot Sticks
4. Wheat Thins
5. Macaroni and Cheese
Date Feb 26th Question What song could you listen to 20 times a day without losing interest?
At work in Cardiac Rehab I have been listening to a lot of cds that are mixes that my friend Bridget's sister Tiana made. There are songs on those cds that I don't mind listening to over and over again and I am not sick of them yet. There are other songs like BulletProof by Kesha that I grin and bear it when it comes on.
Date March 15th Are there any events in your past that have made you a stronger person today? Explain why.
In high school I was bullied. I would say that's something pretty important to overcome. In my sophomore year I was the manager of the cheerleading team. The head captain did not want me at the pre-compettion sleep over because she did not feel I was valuable member of the team. I stayed home from school for a few days because I was depressed and very confused about why my friends on the team did not stick up for me. That incident really taught me who my true friends are. I am still friends with most of the people who were on that team with me,, minus the captain. I lost touch with her.
The issue of bullying is still really prevelant in today's society. Based on my own personal experience with the issue and the issues that have over the past couple years primarily what happened at Rutgers University last fall to Tyler Climente ( read my previous entry from October the issue with gay rights) to raise awareness to bullying weather it happens to people who are gay or straight. Bullying is an issue I feel need to be taken seriously.
Another thing that taught me a big lesson was my issues with moving on from the Barn Playhouse. That taught me not to worry so much about things I couldn't control and not to be so overanxious that people were going to forget about me or hate me because I had issues letting go of stuff related to the Barn..

Goal Update (Check one off)
Goal #7: Get an ensemble role in Music Man
The audtion process was very nerve wracking. This is the second play I have auditioned for since I've been out of college... too much has really gone on in between now and then that hasn't allowed me enough time to audition for other shows but I hope to audition for another show in the fall. The choosing of audition songs was kind of a pain and I had a hard time narrowing down my long list. I eventually just ended up singing Wells Fargo Wagon. Granted I haven't been in a play since I was in Annie Get Your Gun at the Barn Playhouse 4 summers ago so I am pretty excited about being in my second musical (5th show overall). Countdown til the show is 35 days. I have mixed emotions... I'm both nervous and excited. Excited about seeing how everything will all come together and nervous because as I said this is my first show I've been in since I was in Annie Get Your Gun at NLBP. Looking back to four years ago that experience was more nerve wracking then this show will be because it was the first show I had been in that gave me more stage time (other than that I had either worked back stage or had small walk on roles) When I watch the video I realize that I looked kind of nervous during the opening number Colonel Buffalo Bill.. couldn't tell ya what was running through my head exactly. The fun thing about being in Ensemble Roles is that you get to create your own character and what makes Music Man even more fun is that we get to divide ourselves into families. This makes things fun because I can develop my own character and see how well it interacts with other characters in the scene. For some reason in Annie Get Your Gun I felt like I wasn't on stage enough to interact with the other people... maybe it's because it wasn't scripted or because it was just nerve wracking because it was my first time on stage.
Something that I've kind of gotten used to with being in this play is dancing. That's actually the one part of the audition process I was most anxious about because I have never taken any dance lessons and the most dancing i've ever done is self-chreographing my own dances. I am in a dance number in Music Man for the song Marian The Libririan and that has been fun to work on . Parts of it are kind of challenging but I am improving on the parts I am having issues with by working on it at home.
As I said 35 days til opening. I can't wait! It' s going to be a great show! :)
(Side note: My performances in Music Man are dedicated to my friends from my NLBP intern company because they continue to inspire me with all the stuff they have been doing since we left New London.)
Next update coming on the 20th... figured this would be a nice interlude.)

Results
Result: Nailed it. As much as I will miss Cardiac Rehab I am so excited to start because it will be a great experience. There may be a possibility that I will get to try out stuff in Paitent Registarion but that is not set in stone yet.
Project Search will go out with a bang! Hopefully this internship will result in a paying job. :)
