You can't stop the beat

Well folks it's almost the end of July. Since the family olympics I have been quite busy.. mostly with work but there's been some fun in between let's recap shall we

  • Movies- I have seen Green Lantern and Horrible Bosses with Julie. Nest up is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows PArt 2, Captain America, The Help and The Smufs. Just when I thought I was getting sick of super hero movies BAM along comes Green Lantern. I found myself really enjoying it. Horrible Bosses was hysterical. I highly reccommend both films if you are looking for a good movie to go the theatre to see. For rentals I highly reccommend The Last Song. I got this movie as a present from one of my co-workers at St Joe's and i've actually been dying to see it for a long whilce. Paul Duclos actually reccommended it to me LAST summer Paul was one of my co-workers at the Boys and Girls Club. I must say Miley Cyrus was pretty impressive in the first movie role I've seen her in outside of Hannah Montana.

  • Beach and Lake- The week of July 16th Matt Sonya and I went overnight to Maine and then went to the beach in Wells. I must say we should have planned our departure for the beach a little better because we had had a hard time finding a good place to sit and the tide water kept rising up on us. Still a great day at the beach though. This week my cousin Lucia and her husband Gabrielle have been visting from Italy. It has been so great to have them here with us, Last Sunday I went to Hull for the day and spent some time down the beach then Wednesday and Thursday we went up to Newfound Lake for a couple days. My mother's author friend Barbara has a guest house on the lake and the views from the front porch were TO DIE FOR! Before going to the lake house we went hiking in the Flume Gorge in Lincoln. Gorgeous! Yesterday we spent the day swimming it Wellington Stage Park in Bristol and then went to Meredith to see Hairspray at Interlakes Summer Theatre. Another amazing show, My family was so blown away by the talent of the acting company. This comes as no suprise to me because they have been doing an amazing all season. For a review of the show go to my Theatre Is My Life blog http://theatrereviewer826.blogspot.com . Pictures from the past couple days will be up on facebook soon.

  • Man of La Mancha on July 10rh Matt and I went to Meredith to go see Man of La Mancha. The show was spectacular. It was my first time seeing it and I really enjoyed it.

  • Parties- Last night I went to a party at Leslie Peterson's house. She is headed off to grad school in Pennslyvania in mid-August. It was a lot of fun. Saw a bunch of people from high school I had not seen in awhile and got to meet some of Leslie's friennds from work. Today was my gradmother's birthday. We went down to my aunt and uncle's in Lynnfield Mass and had dinner. Chinese food... not the best for my diet but stil enjoyable. Great times all around.

and now August begins. Other than my birthday I am looking most foward to the American Idol concert on August 31st. It's going to be a blast. :D)

Amy Winehouse

In recent celeb news Amy Winehouse passed away this weekend. The only song I heard of hers was Back To Black and only thanks to Glee. Other than that I am not to familiar with much of her music. Regardless of this fact her death is still very tragic. She had so much of her life to live. (only two years older than me) This is only furthur proof to today's youth that you shouldn't drink or do drugs and what can happen to you if you do. Her cause of death hasn't been determined yet but from the articles I've been reading it seems like she overdosed.

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way (HQ)

This song was on the Delilah show earlier tonight while I was driving home from Hull. The person who called in asked for a song to relate to situation about moving on from something on she had falled out of touch with from a few years ago. I can easily relate to this song because of the issues I had with moving on from Will Porter after I left the Barn Playhouse... that went on for longer than necessary and was a key factor to my Barn Playhouse deperssion. I hope Will is doing good wherever he is but one thing I can no longer do is worry about weather or not he still wants to talk to me or if he hates me. Actually I was probably overcompensating a lot because he most likely doesn't hate me/ never did. If I could go back in time and change things I would honestly go back and change how I acted about the Barn Playhouse and Will. Oh well, you live and learn. It's these little life lessons that make me a stronger person. :)

Goal Update

Goal #1: Gat a job after graduating Project Search and move to Nashua

Part one of this goal was acheived when I landed the job at the YMCA at the end of May. That has been going excellent thus far. I work at the front desk answering phones and giving tours. I am also going to be doing data enty, helping out with the newsletter and helping out with the summer camp and after school progtams. Right now I work part time but once school starts again I am hoping to get more hours since I will be helping out with the afte school program. Matt and I have a joint goal of moving in together by Fall 2012. We will see how acheiveable that goal is based on both of our budgets. I am looking to move to downtown Nashua or someplace close to the Y on a bus route so I don't have a very long commute to work or perhaps that I can walk there. Research on apartments will commence after the first of the year. So exciting!

Thought For The Day- Dying Young

There will be an actual update coming soon, I promise. Lots to talk about.. :) For now another mini thought

A weird fact about me is that I sometimes read the newspaper cover to cover holding no boundaries this means everything all the cover stories, opinions letters, obituaries, police logs, births, honor rolls etc.

Can I just say I hate seeing people I know in the obituraies? Hate it!!!

Someone I went to high school with who was a freshmen when I was senior died of complications from Lupus. I was in choir with her and she is on the lacrosse team I managed spring of that year. I LOVED her energy and spunk. She was hillarious and fun to be around. She will certainly be missed by a lot of people.

RIP Kathy Wilikins.

Thought for the day- Out of the Blue

So a co-worker of mine from NLBP emailed me a few days ago requesting that I take a video of him off youtube. I told him that I was not in charge of the page the video was on and that he would have to find out who was in charge of it to ask them to take it down.

Why he chose to contact me or thought I posted the video in the first place I am not too sure. I hope the situation will eventaully be resolved though.

Sometimes I think my issues with moving on from NLBP could have had something to do with it.

Update August 6th I typically don't like to reveal people's names in this blog because in the past when I have writtne entries about people I have gotten in trouble with my parents about that but for the purposes of this particular incident I will mention the person's name. Three weeks after this incident that took my by complete surprise while I am not intending to make a big deal out of this I am still slightly confused as to why Bobby contacted me about the video. I was able to contact the adminstrator of the youtbue page (who I'm guessing is Nic Rouleau but not 100% sure) and the video was removed. At first I had an initial reaction that it something to do with bad karma from my Barn Playhouse depression but then I could be jumping a false conclusion. While it was most likely a misunderstanding and the issue was dealt with accordingly I still would like some kind of clear reasoning to why he thought I would post the video in the first place while I do not even the dvd with that clip on it in my possession.

Copyright infringement could be a possibitly but if that is case then wouldn't the rest of the videos have to be taken down too? Another speculation that I have is because of nasty comment I spotted on the video that indicated Bobby had no talent. He could have seen the comment and gotten offended. If I was him I would have been offended if a complete stranger on an interent website said that I had no talent. For the recoed all my friends from the Barn Playhouse are amazingly talented. :)

Thought For The Day- Casey Anthony Verdict

Casey Anthony pleaded to lesser charges of lying to police about events leading up to the death of her 2 year old daughter Caylee in 2008. The verdict for the manslaughter and child abuse charges was not guilty. This infuriates me because she is obviously guilty of at least child neglect for not reporting her daughter missing after 30 days. The death penalty might have been to severe of a sentence but she should have at least gotten 20-40 years in prison. She is definitley someone who should not have children. She will live with this for the rest of her life.

RIP Caylee Marie Anthony.
