My latest poem

Please refer to my latest entry in my Theatre Is My Life blog for what this poem is about.
Three Simple Words Part 2
The river flows on
and so do my negative thoughts
as I push them away.
This song is on constant repeat on the ipod in my head
Come sister let's go down
let's go down come on down
come sister let's go down
down by the water to pray.
People I worked with moved on from
that summer long ago
and I don't know exactly
why it took me so long to move forward.
Obsession and paranoia
two negative things
I wish I could have dealt with better
and not have
made such a big dealout of a
problem that didn't really exist.
Look forward
don't look back
or go off the beaten track
memories are not forgotten.
I felt like I had something to prove
but I don't.
Because love conqures all things
and I know that despite distance
friendships are not lost
and I am loved.
Put the past in the past
and listen to the three simple words
whispered down from the heavens
Let It Be.
The song referenced to in this poem is Down To The Water to Pray from the movie O Brother Where Art Thou?

Mini update and March Madness 1st Round Predictions

Okay so time for a semi- substantial updateThursday Matt and I went to Derry to go see Colleen Fee in Junie B Jones at the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy. The theatre was pretty nice for a high school theatre. The play was based on the children's chapter book series by Barbrara Park which wasn't really popular til once I was in middle school. The play was cute and Colleen did a really good job. We went out to lunch with the cast at Applebee's afterwards which was nice. It was definitley great to catch up with Colleen. :) Friday I worked at the Share Clothing Barn til 1;15 then went to the movies to see Alice In Wonderland with Heather Crocker and Samantha Quick, I had moderate expectations for this movie prior to seeing and wasn't sure I would like it but I underestimated it. I think the reason why I had such moderate expectations was because the only other Tim Burton movie I've seen besides Sweeney Todd was Nightmare Before Christmas and I am not a huge fan of that movie for some reason. Anyway Alice in Wonderland was awesome and I highly reccommened it to anyone who is looking to go see a good movie. Other reccommended movies are Precious and Valentines Day. Valentines Day almos seems like its an updated verison of Love Actually .. similar plot line ot LA just new characters.. I actually liked it better the Love Actually. For the record Taylor Swift CANNOT ACT. Precious is a powerful movie and I was almost crying by the end of it. While the overall story line is kind of depressing it has a good message about believing in yourself and never giving up. I just got home from spending two days in Laconia with Matt. I wish the weather had been a lot nicer.. damn rain. Saturday we got lost on the way to our hotel so we didn't get there til 6:30 and we were supposed to get there an hour before. We just spent the rest of Saturday night relaxing. Yesterday we went bowling at Funspot... I actually did good for not having not bowled since November after bowling we spent a bit playing arcade games. I actually did good at the slot machines. We didn't have enough combined tokens to get a big prize so I gave Matt my tokens so he could save them for later in the week. We then went out to dinner at Fratello's in Laconia. Delicious italian food. I highly reccommend it if you are ever in Laconia. We then spent the night relaxing. I got home at 12:45 and have been relaxing. I am starting my job training progarm at the Boysand Girls Club in Nashua tomorrow.. excited nervous and anxious at the same time. Wish me luck!

My latest poem

Three Simple Words

I've had a challenge with moving on from certain situations
I look to the heavens
there is a whisper
a simple sentencethree words...
Let It BeOver dramatic
over compensating
I regret the way I acted
I realize the biggest issue I had was forgiving myself
Let it be
and though the distance may be great between us all
that doesn't mean that memories from summer 2007 are forgotten
nor that i'm not loved
whisper words of wisdom
We all love you just trust it
and Let It Be
A group of friends divided by drama
stress that I really didn't need
Have to move on
and realize that things will never
be the same again
the light shines down forever on me
and three simple words are whisperedf
rom the heavens
Let It Be

Inspired by the song Let It Be by The Beatles

Good vibes good vibes

Today I had an inteview for a job training program at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua called Mission Possible. It went fairly well and I think I have a really good chance of getting in to it. It starts March 15th and goes til the last week of April. I am hope I get into it because it will give me good skills and some money that I so desperately need. I also have my Project Search interview in a few weeks which is job training program at St Joe's Hospital.

Hopefully I get into both of these training programs they will give me the link that has so desperately been missing in the previous jobs I've had.

UPDATE!!! I got into Mission Possible! I start work on Tuesday the 16th. So EXCITED!! Project Search Interview 6pm on the 22nd!! Wish me luck!

My life needs to be DRAMA FREE

A great group of friends now divided because of childish drama
Back Row Tamika Mcmayo,Jen By,Janine Leffler, Jon Waite, Kori Adams,Autumn Monsees,James Popek, Matt Smith
Front Row Leanna Pizer, Laura Hachez
Not Pictured Cooper Bowman (cuz he took the photo), Morgan Floyd, Sam Floyd, Erin Ryan, Stacey Harris
So this entry kind of connects to my entry from a few weeks ago 2nd family Stress no more about my NEC friends and how much drama there has been between everyone in the past two years.

I've had a hard time accepting that there has been too much damage done between certain people that can not be fixed but at this point I think it is best to accept that and move on. I find it to be best to distance myself from the drama because trust me I don't have the interest time or energy to deal with other people's problems. I have too much of my own shit going on between trying to find a job and paying back my college loans. As I previously mentioned my biggest regret is not distancing myself from the drama in the beginning. As much as I still wanted to remain friends with everyone I found the fact that I was constantly being asked my opinon about fights I wasn't even involved in to be stressful and emotionally taxing. As much as I do enjoy keeping in touch the people at NEC who I am still friends with I just can't deal with even HEARING about all this immature drama anymore.. it just pains me too much that people who are in college can't freaking ACT THEIR AGE and have to constantly start shit and distance themselves from people who still WANT to be friends with them. It just pisses me off and drives me nuts. I can't deal with it anymore.
Sorry to admit but this is the reason why I am not going to be going to Henniker as much as I used to this semester. I just can't take all this shit or even hearing about the constant cylce of drama that's been going on since I graduated. I am definitley happy to see the two people I actually go get to see when I go to visit Laura and her boyfriend Joe and Leanna but it just makes me so sad/mad that people are unable to act like adults and put thier differences aside so we can get together and catch up LIKE WE USED TO. As I said earlier I think it's best to accept the honest truth of the matter and move on. Make new friends and still keep in touch with the friends from NEC who I've stayed in touch with since I graduated that DO NOT CAUSE DRAMA.

Here is a poem I wrote in regards to this issue.

Goodbye To Drama
I can't put up
with the stress this shit putson me anymore
Don't you guys see the big picture?
I honestly don't think you do.
I'm being blunt herehonest and true.
Foolish arguments
juvenile disagreements
The big picture is
that the way you've been acting
is affecting everyone.
Our once tight knit familywill never be the same again
This causes everyone the greatest amount of pain.
You've clealry made your choice
while it's disappointing we respect it
we really don't have much of an option.
We say goodbye to you
and this never ending cycle of drama
we can't put up with it
nor should we have to.
Perhaps goodbye is not forever
and when you realize how much
your actions have hurt everyonewe
can rekindle the friendships we once had
hopefully this is not wishful thinking
but for now we must say goodbye
to all of this childish drama
and shut it out of our lives.

hmm

Considering getting rid of this blog. I feel like my life shouldn't be broadcast over the internet. Most of what I write about ends up being written in my regular diary anyway. I feel like it's better to just stick to my theatre blog because I write in that most of the time anyway.

Anyways what has happened since my last post.. other than the NH Theatre Awards and Valentines Day nothing to exciting. The Theatre Awards were fun... a ton of fun. I hope I get invited to go next year. Full review of the ceremony is at my theatre blog. Yesterday for Valentines Day Matt and I went to see Forbidden Broadway at Peacock Players which was phenomenal and went out to dinner @ Fridays. Other than that I am recovering for a cold.. actually now it's pretty much gone. I got a bug from the kids from Annie Jr... glad it's gone now just in time for vacation next week. Can't wait to go to Florida. The job search still presses on. Still not bites yet. Hoping something will accumulate sooner rather than later.
I feel like nothing is getting accomplished by sitting at home.. except the constant scribbilings of fan fiction all the more reason why I need a job. At least I'll be starting up work on Bye Bye Birdie when I get home from vacation! Looking SO SO SO FORWARD to that!

Not much of an update.

Until later
Janine
